HSE POLICY

TRAGS considers health, safety and environment affairs to be fundamental and integral part of its operations having a direct impact upon its business processes include EPIC of Civil, mechanical including Shut down maintenance, Piping, Structural steel fabrication, erection, Manufacture, servicing and pressure testing of valves and vessels at workshops, Oil & Gas installations and Petrochemical complexes at both onshore and offshore locations in Qatar.

TRAGS shall achieve the above policy by:

  • Complying with applicable legal and other requirements

  • Prevention of pollution and ill health

  • Setting up effective and efficient engineering controls that minimize the incidents and pollution

  • Adopting 3R methods to reduce its wastages in project, workshop and other locations

  • Continually improving the HSE performance, and

  • Taking into the account of health and safety of all its employees and other interested parties who may be affected by its business.

 

 

   

 HSE Management

  • A sensible approach that sets the framework for achieving the management goal and objectives by setting up a structured HSE management system with essential elements and methods which should enable internal and external evaluation for further development and continual improvement is the desired factor in any HSE Management Program.

  • HSE management system framework and key processes, which support the HSE expectations to be adopted by all TRAGS employees, are emphasized. These stressing factors encompass the complete spectrum of health, safety and environmental risk management.

  • TRAGS shall provide an effective management to fulfill the HSE expectations of it's clients and business partners, to improve it's liability profile, to attain a distinctive leadership position in our ongoing business field and build up its reputation.

HSE Procedure

TRAGS Operations Manager shall be the person responsible for the safety and health of our employees and subcontractors in the workplace and the protection of environment. He shall ensure that our safety procedures compatible to Client's safety procedures and regulations in force. Should a difference be detected, he shall request instructions from the client.

 

A three - pronged approach has been made in setting up the framework for HSE function.

  1. Management goal and objective setting.

  2. Setting up a structured HSE management system with essential elements and methods.

  3. To enable external and internal evaluation for further system development and continual improvement.

We shall detail a Safety Officer responsible to deal with safety matters. He shall report to the HSE Manager, TRAGS. The HSE Manager reports to the General Manager.

The Safety Officer shall direct all our employees and subcontractors' for the safe operation of all activities. Also, they shall maintain a conscientious liaison with the client's Safety representative on the site.

 

HSE Procedure Hazardous Activity

All our employees shall comply with the TRAGS Safety Policy and Procedures while carrying out the activities involved in our project work. We shall ensure that the safety requirements relevant to the scope of work are studied planned and the accepted procedures are put into practice.

 

    The Task Risk Assessment shall be carried out on all planned activities involving all concerned. The finalized/approved assessment sheets shall be submitted to the Client. One each copy of the completed TRA shall be handed over to the Project Engineer and General Foreman. The General Foreman ensures that the risks involved in the activities are duly communicated to the workers through toolbox talks.
